High-quality Ni-MH cells for vacuum cleaners performance
Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries are improved from Nickel Cadmium batteries (NiCd batteries) by replacing cadmium (Cd) with a metal that can absorb hydrogen. It offers a higher capacity than NiCd batteries at the same price, a less pronounced memory effect, and lower environmental pollution (no toxic cadmium). These batteries can also be used in vacuum cleaners &alarm system applications.
Compared to lead-acid and nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries have a higher energy density. This means that Ni-MH batteries can hold more energy in the same space. Therefore, compared to other batteries, the use of NiMH batteries can make electrical equipment lighter and more compact, bringing more convenience to people’s daily life. In addition, because NiMH batteries have a charge/discharge cycle life of up to about 500-800 cycles, they have a very good performance in energy storage.
